Step by Step Guide: Binance Cryptocurrency Exchange

Step 1: Go to the Binance Exchange Website

It is critically important to be sure of the websites you visit whenever browsing the web, especially when visiting the Binance site. This is especially true when you are active in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space, particularly as an investor or a trader. The best way to be sure that you are visiting the Binance website is to double check the address after you click THIS LINK to visit Binance, and then bookmark the page. Bookmarking the page assures you visit the same website next time you click on the bookmark to visit it.

Step 2: Complete the Binance Sign-Up

In the top right corner of the Binance website there is a “Register” tab. Click on that Register tab. The process will ask you to enter your email address and to create a password. We recommend creating a strong password. Strong passwords help to better secure your Binance account. Once you finish entering your email and creating your password, you will need to perform a simple verification task and then click on the “Register” button at the bottom middle of the screen.

Step 3: Enable 2FA (2-Factor Authentication)

Once you are registered and you log into Binance for the first time, there will be a pop up that appears. That pop up will help you to add an extra layer of security via 2-Factor Authentication for your new Binance account. The Google Authenticator app (download it through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store) on your phone will send you periodic codes. These codes will allow you to log into your Binance account. When you are creating your 2FA back up, you will be provided with a 2FA backup key on the right hand side of the screen, next to the QR code. Write down that 2FA back up key and store it somewhere safe and secure. It will allow you to restore your 2FA should you lose your phone or otherwise need to re-establish your 2FA.

Congratulations! You are all set with a new Binance account!

Using Binance: Deposit funds into your account:

Step 1: Locate and click on the “Deposit” page

Once you log into your Binance account, at the top of the screen there is a menu bar. There is a drop down menu named “Funds” Click on the “Funds” drop down menu. Inside the “Funds” drop down, there is a link called “Deposits/Withdrawals”. Click on the link named “Deposits/Withdrawals”.

Step 2: Choose the coin you wish to deposit

There are many options as to what type of coin you can deposit on Binance. Use the “Search” feature located at the top left of the screen to search for the coin you want to deposit into your Binance account. Make sure that you choose exactly the coin you wish to deposit. For example, if you wish to deposit Bitcoin (BTC) be absolutely certain you have clicked on the button for Bitcoin (BTC) in order to deposit Bitcoin (BTC) and not Bitcoin Cash (BCC) or another similarly named coin. Every coin has a different address, so it is important to match the specific coin to its exact address.

Step 3: Transfer Coins to the Binance Address

By click on the coin you wish to deposit, Binance will provide you with an address for that specific coin. If you are depositing Bitcoin (BTC) for example, the address for your Bitcoin will be generated under “BTC Deposit Address”. Copy this address exactly, and use it when sending the coins from wherever you currently hold your coins- for example your Bitcoin wallet or from another exchange. When you enter in the Binance address for your Bitcoin, make sure it matches exactly and be sure to double check the address.

Congratulations! Once you hit send from your current wallet or other exchange, the coins should be transferring to your Binance address to fund your Binance account! You can view your deposit history under the “Funds” drop down menu at the top of your Binance webpage (when you log into your Binance account) and click on the “Deposits/Withdrawals” tab. Your transfer history will be visible there. Sending the coins may take some time and a few confirmations, so keep that in mind when sending coins to your Binance account.

You’re now ready to begin trading on Binance!
